Emma Williams studied with Susan Milan and David Butt at the Royal College of Music and with the late Alain Marion in Paris. She has performed at the Wigmore Hall (Ensemble Lumiere & YCAT Finalist), BBC Radio 3 and South Bank Centre (Purcell Room). Emma has recorded for BBC2 television, BBC Radio 3, Abbey Road, Cramer Music and for the Chandos, Metronome, Métier, Dutton and Deux-Elles labels. Her latest CD “The Sacred Heart of Nino Rota” with Hugh Webb (harp) is available from Zitto Music Ltd.

As a chamber player Emma has worked with Ensemble Lumière who’s Wigmore Hall debut was described as “dazzling” in the Daily Telegraph. She has also performed with the Galliard Ensemble, Chroma, the Scottish Flute Trio and the experimental contemporary group Transition_projects.

Emma has worked with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, RTE National Symphony Orchestra (Dublin), ROH2 (Opera Genesis), London Mozart Players, Northern Sinfonia, English National Ballet, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and National Theatre.

Emma has coached the National Youth Chamber Orchestra, National Children’s Wind Orchestra, National Children’s Chamber Orchestra and the Independent Association of Prep Schools Training Concert Band. She works with the education departments of the LSO, Philharmonia and RPO at nursery, primary and secondary school levels. Emma has given presentation recitals at the British Flute Society Convention of the Associated Board exam repertoire and had adjudicated for Abertawe Festival for Young Musicians and the Bedford Young Musician Competition.
