Emma Williams flute & piccolo player

Emma is a freelance flute and piccolo player. Her work takes her all over the UK, Europe and beyond. As a soloist, highlights have included performances in Frankfurt, Vienna, Mannheim and closer to home in London, for Revolution Dance Festival. For Revolution, she performed with dancer Daniel Davidson (Rambert) in “The Wall”, an intense piece choreographed by Pierre Tappon (Rambert) to the music of JS Bach’s solo flute Partita .

As an orchestral piccolo player player Emma can frequently be heard on BBC Radio 3. Her orchestral work includes the BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Rambert, Welsh National Opera, Royal Northern Sinfonia, and RTE Symphony Orchestra.

She works with the contemporary chamber group Apartment House and has joined them in performances at the London Contemporary Music Festival, Wigmore Hall, Ultima Festival (Oslo), Sacrum Profanum Festival (Poland), Edition  Festival (Stockholm) and at the underground contemporary venue Mayhem (Copenhagen). The ensemble are Associate Artists at the Wigmore Hall.
