Side by Side: Philharmonia & Trinity Laban

I spent a lovely afternoon working with the flute students at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance on orchestral sectional technique, passing on and sharing ideas as part of the Philharmonia's Education team. The students had some great reading recommendations for me too. I will be checking out Michel Debost's 'The Simple Flute A to Z'. Thank you to Liz Meyer and Katie Sazanova. As an orchestral player, so much of what we learn is through experience and learning in situ alongside more experienced colleagues. This project aims to give students a taste of the orchestral rehearsal process alongside Philharmonia players, culminating in a final full orchestral performance.
